Many historical occurrences have been extirpated. Threatened by alteration of fire regimes, development, and road maintenance. Possibly threatened by illegal dumping, fire suppression, and vehicles. Angeles NF has adopted species management guidelines. Plants in San Francisquito Cyn. (163D) are introduced.
